CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte–Mecklenburg Police Department is conducting a investigation into a homicide in the University area.
The incident occurred on Saturday, October 24th around 11:03pm at Altliff Court near E W.T. Harris Boulevard. Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call and discovered one victim with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on scene by Charlotte Fire.
The victim has been identified as 47-year-old Thomas McDonald. The suspect has identified as 25-year-old Andrea Cole. Cole has been taken into custody and charged with 1st degree murder.
This investigation remains ongoing.
